Lines on my Face

This sculpture was made with the poem in mind as all of these sculptures are.

The beauty of the human face, its lines, its scars, all tell each of our stories to some extent. It tells of my roots, my parents and it's all passed on to my children too.

Like a map - and it's the same for trees - they can tell us historical facts as well as what weather and god knows what else. The idea of the comparison between man, beast and trees fascinated me.

There is no doubt in my mind that we are very much in the care of nature as well as it is in ours.
