Hands of Time
|
Hands of Time is about life and refers to the question of who is in control, is it all in our hands or just out of our control as the poem explores. There is a part of the bible which refers to god and then it goes on to refer to us as the lord. It also refers to the image of a mirror and human kind's reflection in it, the reflection is quoted as "you will see his likeness", in other words we are in control of our destiny to a degree and the world is also, in the sense of it in our hands. The poem refers to my belief that there is a power, force, god, mother nature, whatever you want to call it. The word 'bus' in the poem is not meant in a literal sense but to choose a route that is good for us , but also good for the rest of the planet. It is a personal thing and I certainly do not want my children saying to me, or their children saying to me, why did you do nothing and so I personally am currently searching for a fuel that will run my car with the least pollution etc. then I know I can look fondly at past roads driven. I believe in each of us having the ability to live as we choose and with the ability to affect everything by living in that way. |
