This piece is based on the experience of a first proper kiss with a girl which stuck in my memory - was about 16 years old and recovering from the years of abuse, it stuck in my mind because of the feeling that went with it, one of electric shocks and warmth. It also represented a relief in myself that I had survived as normal as normal is after the years of abuse, it was sheer relief and filled me with hope.

The next few years were good as I continued to try and catch up with what I had missed, like chasing the sun really, but it remained an important moment in life.
